GCGH welcomes first newborn of 2021

On Jan. 15, 2021, Greene County General Hospital welcomed the first newborn of the year. The parents, Katelyn and Anthony Stevens welcomed their daughter Birdie Sue Stevens in GCGH’s labor and delivery department on Friday afternoon. Two GCGH labor and delivery nurses, Teresa Egnew, RN, and Madisyn Bridges, RN assisted with the birth. Both nurses were “very excited” to assist with the delivery because the family was so sweet and likable. “it was a lot of fun to be a part of” they reported. ...

Greene County Foundation opens scholarships to graduating seniors

Wolverines falter in fourth quarter at Evansville

The Wolverines gave the Eagles of Evansville Day a battle Saturday but ran out of fuel in the fourth quarter as WRV fell 75-63. WRV was hoping a trip to Evansville Day could result in its first win of the season and the score was tied at 52 to start the fourth quarter. The Wolverines will have to wait a little longer for the elusive first victory as the Eagles controlled the fourth quarter 23-11. Warrick is the first Miner in program history to be named to the Junior All-Star team.
