On Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, with his wife at his side, Ryan Daniel Wilcoxen, 31, passed away at Community South Hospital in Greenwood. Betty Pearl Letot, age 91, of Dugger, formerly of Worthington, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 14, 1929, the daughter of Preston and Velva (Gabbard) Bennett. After losing the love of her life in 1970 from an accident, she went to work for Hook’s Drug Store in Linton and later worked out of the main office in Indianapolis, retiring after 17 years as a merchandising consultant in which she won several awards for her merchandising skills, she covered Southern Indiana, Northern Kentucky and Southern Illinois. ...

GCGH shares COVID vaccination update

Director of Greene County General Hospital Stacy Burris recently shared a hopeful COVID update via Facebook live. As of Thursday, GCGH has administered 2,000 vaccinations to Greene County residents. According to Burris, the Indiana State Department of Health reports a total of 5,089 vaccinated people in Greene County. “At least about 16 percent of the community has at least received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, which I think is really a great start for our community,” Burris added...
