Linton Legion holds in-person awards (Local News ~ 04/12/21)
Linton American Legion Post 22 held their annual awards ceremony on Thursday, April 8, 2021. With last year’s activities restricted by the COVID-19 pandemic, members enjoyed the novelty of meeting in public again with few restrictions. The ceremony was held just before a regular meeting at the Legion Post, and was led by Russell Cornelius and Bob Brinson. WRV track and field excited to be back (High School Sports ~ 04/12/21)
For White River Valley track and field, the 2021 season is a chance to make up for a lost season in 2020. “Last year was just weird not being able to have track,” Coach Conner Hill said. “I think the kids are excited. Linton has a new athletic director in Darrin Clayton as he was formally hired in Monday’s school board meeting. Clayton will take over on July 1st for Charlie Karaszia. Karaszia is retiring after 22 years in the position as he had been involved in Linton athletics dating back to 1976... -
