Mary Evelyn Martin, 86, of Linton passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Monday June 18, 2007 at Lyons Health & Living Center.
Born May 31, 1921 in Mineral, she was the daughter of John Olaf and Arkie Mary (Foster) Hasler.
She was a retired nurse's aid at the Bloomfield Convalescent Center. She was a member of the Mineral United Methodist Church and Mineral Ladies Aid.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters Sandra Sue Knoll of Linton and Cathy Padgett of Princeton; one brother, Robert Hasler of Murphiesboro; two grandchildren Tammy Sue Monroe of Terre Haute and Tracy Ann Talley of Fort Branch; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Lee Martin in 1965; one brother James Hasler; and her parents
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m.on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Ralph Roach, Pastor Mike Roth and Rev. Lloyd Swango officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Bloomfield.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes all donations be made to the Minerial United Methodist Church Building Fund in care of Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
