Born in Greene County Indiana, on May 15, 1937, she was the daughter of John Lewis Knowles and Velma R. (Tincher) Knowles. On September 23, 1985, she married Lloyd E. Sisk.
She was a waitress at several local businesses including: Stoll's Country Inn (Kluesmier's), the Sportsman's Pub, and the VFW. She retired in 2000. Arretta was baptized at the First Church of God. She was a member of the American Legion Post No. 22 Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd E. Sisk; her mother, Velma R. Knowles of Linton; one son, John E. Hubble of Vincennes; four daughters, Kellie M. Chambers of Bloomington, Jeannie A. Lawson and Beth L. Hubble of Linton, and Shannon M. Myngheer (Kenneth) Bilskie II of Vincennes; two sisters: Marilyn Jean Souders and Shirley Ann (Fred) Chamberlain of Linton; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; one daughter, Donna L. Miller; and a brother-in-law, Alfred Souders.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson-Poindexter Memorial Chapel in Linton with Rev. John Catchem officiating. Burial will follow at the Stafford Cemetery in Sandborn.
Friends may call atthe funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the American Lung Association.
