Paris (Jake, Easy Money) Rollins, 83, of Bloomington, passed away at 10:59 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Nov. 20, 1923 in Martin County, he was the son of Elias D. and Alma (Hayes) Rollins.
He worked as a custodian at Indiana University until he retired. He was a member of the Smithville Christian Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Modena Rollins of Bloomington; one son, David (Yvette) Rollins of Springville; three grandchildren, Tamey (Matt) Brown of Greenwood, Clint (Tina) Rollins of Springville, Chad (Tracy) Rollins of Bloomfield; six great-grandchildren, Kameron Korvela, Kole Korvela, Hunter Rollins, Gracie Rollins, Taylor Rollins, Ty Rollins; several step-grandchildren; one sister-in- law, Pearl Alice Rollins of Bloomfield; one niece, Sandy Combs of Stanford; and long time friends, The Mark Cline Family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Paul D. Rollins.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be at Solsberry Cemetery in Solsberry.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-8 p.m. Monday and from noon until the hour of service on Tuesday.
