Robert Riffle Harvey, 95, of Fort Worth, TX and formerly of Dugger, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Keller Oaks Nursing Home in Fort Worth, TX.
Born March 26, 1912 in Terre Haute, he was the son of Lewis and Gertrude Harvey.
For more than 30 years, he worked for Allison Division of General Motors and helped design engines and military power plants.
He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include: three children, Robert L. Harvey of Prescott, AZ, Sister Cecelia Harvey of Cambridge, NY, and Andrew B. Harvey, Fort Worth, TX; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, Chester Harvey; and two sisters, Elizabeth Fulk and Peggy Nagy, all of Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife for 60 years, Anna C. Burke Harvey, who passed away in 1996.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sullivan with Father Kenneth Graehler officiating. Burial will be in Dugger Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger.
