The Linton Police Department responded Monday to one information only request, two property damage accidents, one lost and found, two medical/illness runs, one alarm, one animal complaint, one fireworks and one theft-other. They also provided four extra patrols.
* July 9 -- A vehicle owned by Lawrence D. Rink, Saddle Brook Court, Bloomington, was parked in the parking lot of Greene County General Hospital. A witness said a suspect backed into Rink's vehicle and left the scene. LPD Chief Troy Jerrell is investigating.
* July 9 -- Vehicles driven by Kegan L. Inman, Route 4, Linton, and Jordan L. Harbaugh, Meridian St., Jasonville, were traveling east on A Street Northeast when had to stop short for traffic in front of him. As he stopped, Inman, who was directly behind him, attempted to stop, but was unable to. Inman rear ended Harbaugh's vehicle. Patrolman Paul Clark took the accident report.
