Brenda Delaney, 58, of Crane, passed away at 4:40 a.m. Friday, July 13 at Golden Living Center in Bloomington.
Born Feb. 27, 1949 in New Albany, she was the daughter of Arthur and Clara Shanklin Lechien.
She worked for 10 years as an ordnance worker at Naval Weapon Support Center Crane.
Survivors include: her husband, Roland Delaney, whom she married on Sept. 1, 1989; a daughter, Leora (J.D.) Mason of Linton; three grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil Green, of Kentucky and Joe Stillings of Salem; four sisters, Bernice James of New Albany, Barbara Pollard of Oklahoma, Julie Thompson of New Albany and Fern Woodward of Louisana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Funeral services will be at noon Monday (local time) at Full Gospel Church in Switz City with Brother Sam Hill officiating. Burial will be at Scotland Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by members of the Odon American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
