Darrell Gene Thompson, 66 of Bloomfield, passed away 12:25 a.m. Saturday.
Born May 10, 1941 in Greene County, he was the son of Forrest and Mabel (Bays) Thompson.
He was the owner and operator of Hi-Point Auto Body Shop in Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include: his children, Tami Gilliland, Tracy Thompson, and Theresa Myers and her husband Phil, all of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, Ashley Anderson, Abbey Gilliland, Alley Gilliland, Bree Thompson, Jodi Miller, Jill Myers, Jordan Myers; two great, grandchildren, Brynn Anderson and Layne Jo Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joan Thompson on December 4, 2004
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Blomfield with Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and one-hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
