The Linton Police Department responded over the weekend to one fraud, three information only requests, one vandalism, one protective order violation, two shots fired, one disorderly conduct, one brush fire, two transport/documentations, one personal injury accident, three lost and found, three medical/illness runs, one alarm, two animal complaints, one prowler, five suspicious vehicles/persons, one burglary, one harassment complaint, one traffic control, three theft-others, two fireworks, one fingerprint-gun permit, two domestic disputes and one ordinance violation. They also had six traffic stops, provided 10 extra patrols and one funeral escort.
* July 13 -- A window on the south side of the Head Start Building, located at 53 1st St. SE, was broken. Reserve Officer Kyle Butler took the report.
* July 13 -- Susan Morecraft, Northwest Third Street, Linton, reported that while her residence was empty, boxes had been dumped and drawers had been emptied. In addition, the garage was broken into with entry gained through a door. Patrol Office Debbie McDonald took the report.
* July 14 -- Robert J. Clifft, 30, Bloomfield, was arrested for public intoxication by Corporal Chad Crynes.
