The Linton Police Department responded Monday to one follow up investigation, one information only request, two vandalisms, one medical/illness run, one alarm, three animal complaints, three burglaries, one harassment complaint, one animal/canine removed and one battery. They also made three traffic stops and provided one funeral escort.
* July 16 -- An employee of Wellness First Chiropractic reported that someone entered the building though a window and took cash from a cash drawer. A desk had been gone through; however, nothing was missing. Chief Troy Jerrell is investigating.
* July 16 -- An employee of Family Eye Care reported a back door had pry marks on it; however, no entry was gained. Chief Troy Jerrell is investigating.
* July 16 -- An employee of the city of Linton reported that the south door of the Girl Scout Cabin had been kicked, breaking the door jam and frame; however, entry was not gained. Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen is investigating.
* July 16 -- Megan Boulanger, Southeast 6th Street, reported that a subject has been sending her threatening text messages and following her through town. She reported she's had problems with this subject for a while. Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen took the report.
