The Linton Police Department responded Tuesday to one title check, one vandalism, one disorderly conduct, one property damage accident, one lost and found, four medical/illness runs, one animal complaint, and one fingerprint-gun permit. They also assisted another agency once, provided one extra patrol and made one traffic stop.
* July 17 -- Vehicles driven by Jathan Wright, 18, Southeast 6th Street, Linton, and Stephen Eddings, 47, East Vincennes Street, Linton, were southbound on State Road 54 West approaching Gabbard Avenue. Eddings' vehicle slowed to turn left onto Gabbard Avenue and was struck in the rear by Wright's vehicle. Wright said he felt his brakes weren''t stopping properly. There was extensive damage to both vehicles, with damages estimated between $10,001 and $25,000. Patrolman Karl Jacobshagen took the accident report.
