Floyd W. Freeman, 59, of Worthington, passed away at 10:58 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
He was born Feb. 6, 1948 in Linton, to Harry and Nila Gayle Hamlin) Freeman.
He owned and operated Freeman Trucking in Worthington. He was a trucker all of his life, and served in the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of Folsom Memorial United Methodist Church, American Legion and Masonic Lodge No. 577 F. & A.M., in Worthington, Elks Lodge in Linton, Zorah Shrine in Terre Haute.
Survivors include: his wife, Toni (Baker) Freeman, of Worthington; his mother, Nila Gayle Talbot and step-father, Frank Talbot, Leesburg, FL; one son, Curtis Freeman, Worthington; one grandson, Evan Freeman, Ft. Campbell, KY; step-daughter, Crystal (Jeff) Mortland, Linton; step-son, Jesse (Rachel) Clark, Odon; 2 step-grandchildren, Lauren Mortland and Jaycee Clark; brother, Rusty Freeman, Worthington; sister, Jane Lea Steward, Worthington; mother-in-law, Ruth (Bob) Hubble, Linton.
Floyd was preceded in death by his father and his first wife, Candace K. "Candy" (Crody) Freeman.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday with Keith Bellinger, officiating. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service
