Letter to the Editor

Thanks for help during the library move

To the Editor:

The Linton Public Library Children's Department would like to thank all the wonderful people who helped us move to our new library.

We had over 20 young people from ages 6 to 17 years old help with packing, labeling, carrying, unpacking, shelving and anything else we needed. We saw sweat on the brow of different kids as they carried crates of books down the stairs and out the door. Even after two of the kids helped pack the truck, they insisted on carrying over crates by hand to the new library. They worked with enthusiasm and we appreciated it.

We had over 120 hours spent working towards the new library from just our young people. These kids showed us that we are still raising dedicated and responsible kids who care deeply about the library and their community. We are grateful for what they accomplished and proud to be part of their world.
