Jail Log

* Aug. 17 -- Tammy Mathis, 47, Bloomington, was arrested on a warrant by Greene County Sheriff's Department Reserve Deputy Karen Oliphant. She was released after posting $5,000 bond, and will appear in court on Aug. 24.

* Aug. 17 -- Curt Lowder, 30, Linton, was arrested on a warrant by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy John Fowler. He's being held without bond.

* Aug. 17 -- Kevin Fitzpatrick, 31, Demotte, was arrested on a warrant by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy John Fowler. He's being held without bond.

* Aug. 17 -- Douglas J. Pittman, 47, was arrested for possession of marijuana. He's being held without bond.

* Aug. 18 -- Amanda D. Moore, 19, Jasonville was arrested on a warrant for residential burglary and theft by Greene County Sheriff Terry Pierce. She was released after posting $19,000 bond.

* Aug. 18 -- Donald Heck, 40, Linton, was arrested on warrant by Linton Police Department Patrolman Paul Clark. Bond was set at $1,000.

* Aug. 18 -- Valentine Lopex, 52, Bloomfield, was arrested for battery with injury by Bloomfield Police Department Officer Harvey Holt. Bond was set at $1,000.

* Aug. 19 -- Edward D. Beegle, 37, Jasonville, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana by Linton Police Department Patrolman Paul Clark. He's being held without bond.

* Aug. 19 -- Jose D. Navarro, 20, Bloomfield, was arrested on three counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Inman. He was released after posting $4,000 bond.

* Aug. 19 -- Jeremiah J. Bastin, 30, Bloomington, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Cook. He's being held for Brown County authorities.

* Aug. 19 -- Cordaryl Love, 20, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Cook. He's being held for Monroe County authorities.

* Aug. 19 -- Shawn E. Murdock, 25, Linton, was arrested for domestic battery by Bloomfield Police Department Officer Harvey Holt. Bond was set at $1,000.

* Aug. 19 -- Juan C. Alvarez, 34, Lyons, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Inman. He was released after posting $4,000 bond.

Linton Police Department

Activity Log

The Linton Police Department responded over the weekend to one forgery and counterfeiting, two follow up investigations, four information only requests, one vandalism, three property damage accidents, one off road vehicle complaint, six medical/illness runs, three alarms, one animal complaint, one prowler, three suspicious vehicles/persons, one burglary, three harassment complaints, one domestic battery, one reckless driver, one lost/stolen license plate, two welfare checks/concerns, one wanted on warrant arrest, two domestic disputes and one ordinance violation. They also made eight traffic stops. They also provided one funeral escort, one school foot/patrol and eight extra patrols.

* Aug. 17 -- Brandy Hyde, Northwest F Street, reported that a back window had been busted out of a Southwest E Street residence. Also, she reported that the phone lines had been cut. The doors were nailed shut and the window was repaired with duct tape. Patrolman Paul Clark took the report.

* Aug. 18 -- Donald Heck, 40, Linton, was arrested on writ of attachment warrant from Vigo County by Patrolman Paul Clark.

* Aug. 18 -- Robert Benthimer, Northwest E Street, reported that his storm door had been kicked open by unknown subject who fled on foot. Reserve Officer Tim Riggleman took the report.

* Aug. 19 -- Sandra J. Viuchard, Route 4, Linton, reported that her vehicle had been hit. She was unsure whether the damage occurred while the vehicle was parked in a parking lot or elsewhere. Patrolman Chad Crynes took the report.
