* Aug. 22 -- Justin M. Russell, 23, Linton, was arrested for battery with bodily injury by Linton Police Department Patrolman Paul Clark. Bond was set at $1,000.

The Linton Police Department responded Wednesday to one follow up investigation, nine information only requests, one transport/documentation, one property damage accident, one lost and found, three medical/illness runs, one alarm, one theft-other, one disabled/stranded vehicle, one welfare check/concern, one domestic dispute and one abandoned vehicle. They made two traffic stops, provided two school/foot patrols and assisted another agency twice.
* Aug. 21 -- An employee of McDonald's reported a fraudulent $20 was passed in the drive thru. Patrolman Jayson Smith is investigating the incident.
* Aug. 22 -- Justin M. Russell, 23, Linton, was arrested for battery with bodily injury by Linton Police Department Patrolman Paul Clark after getting into an argument with his girlfriend over a number on her cell phone. According to a news release from the Linton Police Department, Russell became physically abusive with his girlfriend and struck her in the face and pushed her into railing of a porch, breaking the railing and causing her to call and scrape her hand and arm. Patrolman Jayson Smith is investigating the incident and is being assisted by Patrolman Paul Clark.
