Jail Log

* Aug. 24 -- Jeannie J. Stephens, 29, Solsberry, was arrested for disorderly conduct by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Cook. She was released after posting $500 bond.

* Aug. 24 -- Lee M. Stremming, 35, Linton, was arrested on a warrant by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Cook. He was released after posting $415.96.

* Aug. 24 -- Delores Shultz, 49, Gosport, was arrested on a check deception warrant by Greene County Sheriff's Department Reserve Deputy Karen Oliphant. Bond was set at $5,000.

* Aug. 25 -- Alejandro Garcia, 18, Linton, was arrested for robbery with injury and conspiracy to commit robbery and theft by Lyons Town Marshal Ron Sparks. Bond was set at $29,000.

* Aug. 25 -- Chase Nail, 22, Worthington, was arrested for possession of marijuana by Indiana State Police Trooper Eric Nash. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.

* Aug. 25 -- John F. Flynn, 45, Spencer, was arrested on a warrant by Greene County Sheriff's Department Reserve Deputy Todd Martin. Bond was set at $500.

* Aug. 25 -- Cynthia R. Jones, 47, Mitchell, was arrested on a warrant for theft by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeremy Cook. She was released after posting $4,000 bond.

* Aug. 25 -- Timothy J. Sarris, 26, Linton, was arrested for possession of marijuana by Jasonville Police Department Officer Ryan Van Horn. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.

* Aug. 25 -- Billy J. Utt, 26, Linton was arrested for battery by Linton Police Department Patrolman Jayson Smith. He was released after posting $5,000 bond.

* Aug. 25 -- James R. Kaiser, 47, Linton was arrested battery with a deadly weapon, intimidation to a police officer and disorderly conduct by Linton Police Department Patrolman Paul Clark.

* Aug. 26 -- Kenneth A. Calvert, 24, Dugger, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving while suspended by Indiana State Police Trooper Brad Stille. Bond was set at $5,000.

* Aug. 26 -- Michele L. Bohnert, 31, Clay City was arrested on a warrant by Greene County Sheriff's Department Reserve Deputy Ricky Flick. No bold was allowed.

* Aug. 26 -- Jeffrey L. Friede Jr., 28, Crane, was arrested on a warrant by Greene County Sheriff's Department Reserve Deputy Ricky Flick. No bond was allowed.

* Aug. 26 -- Eric Von Peterson, 31, Bloomfield, was arrested for pointing a firearm, resisting law enforcement and criminal recklessness by Bloomfield Deputy Town Marshal Harvey Holt. He was released after posting $13,000 bond.

The Linton Police Department responded over the weekend to one fraud, two follow up investigations, four information only requests, one fight, two vandalisms, one custody exchange/dispute, two loitering complaints, three property damage accidents, one lost and found, eight medical/illness runs, two alarms, four harassment complaints, one domestic battery, one possible intoxicated driver, one child abuse/molestation/neglect, two theft-others, one disabled/stranded vehicle, one motor vehicle theft, two domestic/neighbors and one ordinance violation. They made one traffic stop, provided two school/foot patrols and assisted another agency five times.

* Aug. 25 -- Ashley J. Hancock, Route 2, Linton, reported that she was struck in the face by Billy Utt, 26, Route 2, Linton. She also reported that Utt shoved her to the ground. Utt was arrested for battery by Patrolman Jayson Smith.

* Aug. 25 -- A domestic disturbance led to the arrest of James R. Kaiser, 47, Southeast 6th Street, Linton. He was arrested on charges of battery with a deadly weapon, intimidation to a police officer and disorderly conduct by Patrolman Paul Clark.

* Aug. 25 -- Brandon Reagin, Route 4, Linton, reported that upon arriving home from work, he noticed his vehicle was missing. Patrolman Heath Murray took the report.

* Aug. 25 -- Garrett Hollingsworth, Southeast A Street, Linton, reported that he was battered by a male subject. Patrolman Heath Murray took the report.

* Aug. 25 -- Adrienne S. Lynn, South Section Street, Sullivan, was traveling north in the Wal-Mart parking lot when Walter E. Laughlin, Northeast G Street, Linton, backed into Lynn's vehicle. Patrolman Heath Murray took the report.

* Aug. 25 -- Jeffery A. Enochs, 46, Route 2, Linton was southbound on 12th Street Northwest, while Gretchen L. Sheffler, 26, Route 2, Linton, was westbound on Northwest A Street. Sheffler was slowing to make a left turn into a driveway when Enochs' truck collided with the right front tire and fender of Sheffler's car. Enochs reported he slid on wet pavement through a stop sign. Patrolman Paul Clark took the report.

* Aug. 26 -- Mark Kaiser, Northeast 4th Street, reported that his vehicle was stolen from the American Legion parking lot. The vehicle was recovered by Sullivan County authorities. Patrolman Heath Murray took the report.
