Born in Coal City on Oct. 2, 1920, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Minnetta Pearl (Blackketter) Van Horn.
In 1947, she married Malcolm L. Tennant, who passed away in 1993.
She worked as a clerk/typist at Crane before retiring in 1950.
Survivors include: one daughter, Libby A. (James) Lynch of Linton; three sons, Charles W. Tennant, Jan L. (Angie) Tennant and Larry G. (Kerri) Tennant, all of Linton; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joy Anne Van Horn of Linton
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers John B. Van Horn, Charles W. Van Horn, Jr. and one sister Marie A. Van Horn and also a grandson Brock Adam Tennant.
Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM on Friday with Bryan Sanders officiating. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Linton following the services.
