Eloyse F. (Stringer) Shaw, 72, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5 at her residence.
Born March 31, 1935, in Columbia, Miss., she was the daughter of Larkin and Bernice (Baker) Stringer.
She was retired from Cook Inc. with 20 years of service. She also worked at RCA. She was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ and the Good Sam's Camping Club.
Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Angela and Daryl Buck of Solsberry; five grandchildren, Travas Shaw (Carmen) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Holly Hanson (Patrick) of Bloomington, Roger Lee Grubbs II, Daniel Grubbs and Michelle Jones (JR), all of Solsberry; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Austin, Brianna and Hailey; 14 step-great-grandchildren; three brothers and their wives, Johnnie and Peggy Stringer of Columbia, Miss., Phillip and Mary Stringer of Athens, Ala., and Grady Stringer of Meridian, Miss.; two sisters, Daisy Gorman of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and Fern and Bernie Hawk of Shreveport, La.; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse Shaw, in 2002; two sons, Bradley M. Shaw, in 2004, and Brian Shaw, in 1970; and two brothers, Marvin Stringer and David Stringer.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel in Bloomington with Keevin Gray officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
