Karolyn K. (Nierste) Jordan, 64, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Indianapolis and Sandborn, IN, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, in Fort Myers, FL.
Born in Vincennes on Sept. 27, 1942, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Katherine (Warner) Nierste.
On October 28, 1961 she married Cornelius Jordan.
She worked at Flanner and Buchanan Mortuary as a beautician and cosmologist and later at the Merchants National Bank of Indianapolis. She was a homemaker and was a member of the MorningStar Baptist Church in Fort Myers, FL, and the Order of Eastern Star in Edwardsport.
Survivors include: her husband, Cornelius Jordan; daughters, Denisa K. Jordan Wineinger of Poland, Sheila P. Jordan Jones of Plainfield, and Cheryl L. Jordan Scott of Carmel, IN; a son, Brian F. Jordan of Gibsonburg, OH; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Darlene Hartsburg of Freelandville and Janine Pitcher of Odon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Mark A. Jordan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Speedway with Pastor James Riddle officiating.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Graveside services will held 1:00 PM CST Saturday at Sandborn Cemetery in Sandborn.
