The Linton Police Department responded on Monday to one 9-1-1 transfer, one vandalism report, one fire/brush, one personal injury accident, two medical/illnesses, two animal complaints, one suspicious person/vehicle, two theft-others, one disabled/stranded vehicle, two fingerprint-gun permits, one ordinance violation and 22 traffic stops. The department also had one cleaning person on station, one school/foot patrol and one extra patrol.
* May 21 -- Janet Wetzel, of Lyons, reported the theft of two large pipe wrenches, a light fixture, and bathroom plumbing fixtures that were taken from a vacant residence located at 80 NE 10th St. in Linton. Patrol Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
* May 21 -- Zachary Kaiser, of Merom, reported that his 1994 Ford was keyed on the passenger side rear-quarter panel. Patrol Officer Keith McDonald is the investigating officer.
