Maxine E. Knoy, 79 of Worthington, passed away Saturday morning, May

26, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born in Shelbyville on June 23, 1927, the daughter of Marshall, Sr. and Alice (Marley) King.

She was a homemaker, previously owned a beauty shop in Worthington, and worked at the Billie Style Shop. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilary in Worthington.

Survivors include: a son, Ellis Knoy of Worthington; two brothers, Bob King of Ocala, Fla., and Raymond King of Vincennes; seven grandchildren four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie B. "Pete" Knoy on July 21, 1991, a brother Marshall King, Jr., a sister, Phyllis Epperson, and her parents.

Memorial service will be at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Worthington Chapel at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to invite everyone to a meal immediately following the service at the VFW in Worthington.

A private burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery at a later date.
