Jackie Wayne Cooksey, 66 of Indianapolis, passed away March 30, 2007 in his home.
He was born May 10, 1940 in Dugger to Medford Cooksey and Mildred Padgett Cooksey.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He worked for 13 years at Schwitzers and 26 years at Naval Air Warfare Center as a machinist. He was a member of the Masonic Grand Lodge (Fishers) F&AM No. 533 for 26 years.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years Linda Ray Cooksey of Indianapolis; four daughters Kimberly and husband Steve Hadley of Indianapolis, Lisa and husband Larry Steele of Whiteland, Theresa and husband Damon King of Indianapolis, and Julie and husband Kevin Bardonner of Greenwood; two sisters Norma Brown of Middletown and Carolyn Bowser of Greenfield; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Cooksey and Jerry Cooksey.
Funeral service was at 11a.m. today at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Pastor Carl Leth officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Hospice Home.
