Jesse E. Miller, 72, of Bloomfield, passed away Friday, March 30, 2007 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Dec. 27, 1934, he was the son of Jesse Louis and Violet Marie (Myers) Miller. Jesse was a self-employed paint contractor and wood cutter. He attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Bedford.
Survivors include his wife Beverly (Sullivan) Miller of Bloomfield; four daughters, Marilyn Mitchell of Bloomfield, Gloria Jean Miller and friend, Wade Fox, all of Bloomfield, Teresa Sue Miller of Martinsville, and Sheryl Renee Koontz and husband Dwight of Bloomington; three sons, Jason Edward Miller and wife Crystal of Bloomington, Tom Barber of Idaho and Jesse Barber of Florida; three brothers, Bob Miller, Jack Miller and Pete Dove, all of Jasonville, Fla.; three sisters, Marge Miller and Alice Miller of Jasonville, Fla., and Caroline Miller of Carlisle; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdad Rick Dove; and two sisters, Betty Crowder and Jacquelin Allenbough.
Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Valhalla Memory Gardens Chapel in Bloomington with the Rev. J.D. Sink officiating.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Day Funeral Home in Bloomington.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Jesse.
