The Linton Police Department responded Monday to one follow-up investigation, three information-only requests, one utility after-hours call, one transport/documentation, two property damage accidents, two medical/illnesses, one alarm, one animal complaint, one suspicious person/vehicle and four traffic stops. The department also had one cleaning person on station, two school/foot patrols one assist to another agency.
* March 30 -- Martha R. Lee, 16, 478 NE 10th St., the driver of a 1989 Oldsmobile, was traveling east on H Street when she was reportedly struck by another vehicle that pulled out of a nearby driveway. Lee stated the other vehicle was a mid-sized gray car but was unable to identify the model. Patrol Officer Jayson Smith was the investigating officer.
BLOOMFIELD FIRE LOG
* April 3 -- The Bloomfield Fire Department responded to a fire on the third floor of the High Rise Building. According to Fire Chief Eric Alano the fire -- which was contained to a chair -- started from a cigarette. Damages were minimal and mostly smoke-related. The Richland-Taylor Volunteer Fire Department was also on scene.
