Claude J. Fulford, 74, of Sullivan and formerly of Linton, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.
Born in Greene County on Sept. 11, 1932, he was the son of Fred H. and Alta Laverne (Beal) Fulford. He married Margie M. Spear on Nov. 10, 1956.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Korean War and worked as a farmer and later at the Sunbeam Plant in Linton, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Lyons Community Church.
Survivors include three sons: Larry D. (Mary) Fulford and Terry G. (Diana) Fulford, both of Linton and Tony E. (Candelaria) Fulford of Bloomfield; four brothers, Owen Fulford and Ralph Fulford of Linton, Richard Fulford of Arizona and Ted Fulford of Lyons; and one sister, Dorothy Glaspie of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margie M. Fulford (March 18, 2006); two brothers, Robert Fulford and a twin, Clyde J. Fulford.
Graveside service will be at Prairie Chapel Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Kirk Brown officiating. American Legion Post No. 22 will conduct full military honors and burial will follow.
Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4-8 p.m. on Friday.
