Timothy Scott, Sr., 43, of Linton, passed away at 9:21 p.m., on Monday, April. 16, 2007 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
He was born Aug. 22, 1963, in Hopkinsville, Ky., the son of Gale and Betty (Tucker) Meacham.
He was currently employed at Sears in Linton. An U.S. Navy veteran, he attended the Linton Assembly of God Church, and was a 1982 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Meacham of Hopkinsville, Ky.; his wife, Cathy J. (Allaway) Scott of Linton, to whom he was married Sept. 26, 1992; two sons, Timothy Glen Scott, Jr. and Devan James Scott, both at home; two brothers, Charles Scott and Jeff Meacham, both of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and two sisters, Pam Scott and Kimberly Bivins, both of Hopkinsville, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gale Meacham.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with the Rev. Scott Visser officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton. American Legion Post No. 22 will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, and after 9 a.m. Friday.
