Charles "Charlie" Booe, 68, of Terre Haute and formerly of Clay City, passed away at 2:55 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2007, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
He was the owner and operator of Don Booe & Sons Lumber in Clay City, and had served in the Indiana Army National Guard.He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ
He was born March 30, 1939, in Romona to Don Booe and Valley McGinnis Booe.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Spond Finke Booe of Terre Haute; three sons, Chad Booe of Franklin, Craig Booe and his wife Lisa Jo of Linton, and Chris Booe and his wife Christina of Centerpoint; one daughter, Cheri Brown of Lewis; one brother, Joe Booe of Clay City; and three sisters, Wanda Wells, Karen Cooprider and Jennifer Buehl, all of Clay City. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Cheryl Weston Booe.
Memorial service was held Sunday at Northside Church of Christ in Terre Haute with Bob Hawkins officiating. There was no visitation.
Burial will be at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or a charity of your choice.
