Violet L. Stockrahm, 87, Tampa, Fla., and formerly of Vicksburg, passed away at 3:45 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2007 at Brighton Gardens in Tampa.
Born Nov. 27, 1919 in Edwardsport, she was the daughter of Daniel Boone and Ruby Pearl (Brookshire) Dickens.
She was a registered nurse -- receiving her nursing degree at Vincennes University. She was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church at Midland.
Survivors include: daughters and son-in-laws JoAnn McClanahan (Bob) of Tampa, Fla., Jean Buss (Don) of Baltimore, Md., Janet Keller (Larry) of Harrison, Ohio; a sister Doris Luking of Richmond; a brother, Frank Dinkens of Edwardsport; five grandchildren, Angela McClanahan, Melinda McClanahan, Gina Boardman, Nathan Keller and Emily Keller; and three great grandchildren, Alexander Boardman, Jaclyn Boardman and Kyle Boardman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Stockrahm; her parents; and one sister, Kyle Boardman.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Lebanon Baptist Church with pastor Keith Pope officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville is handling the arrangements.
