Thelma L. (Wells) Wright, 96, of Bloomfield, passed away at 11 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Lyons Health and Living Center.
Born Oct. 12, 1910 in Lyons, she was the daughter of Claude and Bonnie (Hatfield) Wells.
She was an avid quilter and was the oldest resident born in Lyons. She was active in the Lyons Senior Center, Lyons United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, and the VFW auxiliary. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: two sons, Lee and wife Frances Wright of Huntingburg and Edwin and wife Joan Wright of Lyons; one daughter, Martha and husband Martin Arnold of Waynesville, Ohio; one brother, Bill and wife Cheryl Wells of Linton; one sister, Nora Shepherd of Lyons; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur T. "Ott" Wright, whom she married March 27, 1930 and passed away June 19, 1986, two sisters, Helen Gregory and Lorene Minella.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Lyons with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
