The Linton Police Department responded on Thursday to six follow-up investigations, two 9-1-1 transfers, two information-only requests, two juvenile/deliquents, one utility repair, three transport/documentations, two personal injury accidents, one lost and found, three medical/illnesses, one animal complaint, one suspicious person/vehicle, one harassment complaint, one attempted burglary, one theft-motor vehicle, one fingerprint-gun permit, two domestic disputes and two community relations. The department also had two school/foot patrols, one assist to another agency and four traffic stops.
* March 15 -- Regional L. Petosky II, 38, Sullivan, was arrested by Patrol Office Chad Crynes on preliminary charges of public intoxication -- a class B misdemeanor. According to a LPD news release, a report from Burger King in Linton was made in reference to a person causing a disturbance with customers. When reporting on-scene, Officer Crynes found that the suspect had left the store premises. The suspect -- later identified as Petosky -- was then found in the parking lot of Wal-Mart where he was arrested after displayed signs of intoxication. He was transported to the Greene County Jail where he remains on a $500 bond.
* March 15 -- Christy Robinson, 1129 NE E St., Linton, reported an attempted burglary at said residence that occurred between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Nothing was reportedly disturbed inside the residence. Patrol Officer Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.
