LINTON POLICE ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department responded over the weekend to three title checks, nine follow-up investigations, three information-only requests, one juvenile/deliquent, one utility after-hours request, one custody dispute/exchange, four drug investigations, one school/foot patrol, one utility repair, two fire/structures. one missing/runaway juvenile, two personal injury accidents, two property damage accidents, 10 medical/illnesses, two alarms, one animal complaint, one prowler, one suspicious person/vehicle, three harassment complaints, one speeding vehicle, three theft-others, three welfare check/concerns, two 9-1-1 false calls, one domestic dispute and four ordinance violations. The department also had four assists to other agencies, one utility assist and 16 traffic stops.

* March 16 -- An employee of BP Gas, 1435 NE A St., reported the drive-off theft of $28.45 in gas that was paid with an expired credit card. Patrol Officer Deb McDonald is the investigating officer.

* March 17 -- An employee of Murphy's Oil USA, 2261 E. State Road 54, reported the drive-off theft off $35.99 in gasoline. Patrol Officer Jayson Smith is the investigating officer.

* March 17 -- Scott Steverson, of Linton, reported that he has been the victim of phone harassment. He reportedly received numerous hag-ups from a private caller. Patrol Officer Keith McDonald is the investigating officer.

BLOOMFIELD POLICE ACTIVITY LOG

* March 17 -- Tyler J. Wpypych, 19, Newburgh was arrested by Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Shane Smith on a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana. He was tranpsorted to the Greene County Jail and released after posting a $1,000 bond. Also on March 17, John E. Deer, 20, Evansville was arrested by Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Shane Smith on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and reckless possession of paraphernalia. Bond set at $2,000.
