The Linton Police Department responded to one title check, one 9-1-1 transfer, one utility repair, one brush/fire, one property damage accident, three medical illnesses, eon animal complaint, one suspicious vehicle/person and one traffic control. The department also had one school foot/patrol and four traffics stops.
* March 15 -- A two-vehicle accident resulted after Frederick L. Goucknerour, 87, of Linton, turned his 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt in front of the path of a vehicle driven by Steven M. Lower -- who was driving west on State Road 54 near the Green Acres housing addition in Linton. Goucknerour stated in the report that the accident was his fault and that he did not see the vehicle driven by Lower. Additional information on Lower was not available. No injuries were reported. Patrol Officer Chad Crynes was the investigating officer.
* March 19 -- A one-vehicle accident resulted after Justin J. Tibbett, 16, of Linton, was westbound on SW A St. in a 1994 Pontiac Firebird and ran off the roadway. The driver -- who was unaware that the road came to a dead end -- could not see in the foggy conditions and his vehicle crossed the railroad tracks, off of the roadway, and lodged between two steel post barriers. No injuries were reported. Patrol Officer Paul Clark was the investigating officer.
