M. Marcille Ellingsworth, 93 of Sullivan passed away at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.
She was born Oct.11, 1913 in Cass, to Floyd Bledsoe and Blanche Carr Bledsoe.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sullivan, where she sang for many years in the choir and taught Bible and Sunday School. She was also a lifetime member of the Village Homemakers Home Economics Club.
She is survived by two sons John P. and wife Nancy Cox and Joe and wife Margaret Cox both of Sullivan; three sisters Martha Marlow of Dugger, Mary and husband Bill Gatewood of Carthage, and Myra Marguerite and husband Kenneth Albers of Sullivan; six grandchildren Bret Cox, Cindy Lowdermilk, JoEllen Ringer, Terri May, Tracey Rodriguez and Tricia Johnson and 11 great-grandchildren Matt, Cecilia, Elizabeth, Kristen, Jordan, Zack, Alex, Stephanie, Paige, Ashton and Bailey
She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Ellingsworth in 1976; her parents; one brother James Bledsoe; and one great-grandchild Alyssa Rodriguez.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan with the Rev. Timothy Fleace officiating. Burial will be in Dugger Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today and until the time of service on Saturday.
