Larry L. Jones, 71, of Bloomfield passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born Oct. 25, 2007 in Marco, he was the son of Louie William and Clarabell (Stancombe) Jones.
He was the tool maker foreman at NSWCCrane and he also worked at COMARCO before he retired. A former Bloomfield School board member, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Linton, Scottish Rite in Evansville, was of the Protestant faith and was in the United States Army Reserves.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Sharon Jones of Bloomfield; one son Brian Jones of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Teresa and husband Denny Pritchett and Nila and husband Tim Reedy, both of Freetown; three grandchildren, Jessica Pritchett, Haley Reedy and Dalton Reedy, all of Freetown; three brothers, Dale Jones of Washington, Joe Jones of Bloomington and Don Jones of Linton; two sisters Betty Ranard of Princeton and Marylin Bastean of Florissant, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Jerry Jones; brother Frankie Jones and a sister, Mary Alice Jones.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be at Marco Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
Memorial onations may be made to the Greene County Historical Society.
