Charlie Brown, 48, Crystal River, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 17, 2007.
He was born March 2, 1959, in Gary, and moved to Crystal River 31 years ago from Portage.
He was a driver for Wayne's Taxis and was a chef in Citrus County. Some of the restaurants he worked at included Andre's of Citrus Hills, K.C. Krump's, Peck's Old Cove, Pirates Cove, Dunbar's Someplace Nice and Charlie Brown's Crab House.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie, and a brother, Jerry.
Survivors include his wife, Gina Beasley Brown; son, Justin Brown; stepdaughters, Alex Beasley and Danielle Rosenthal, both of Crystal River; father, Chester Brown of Sandborn; two brothers, Steve Brown of Sanborn; and Michael Brown of Linton; sister, Kathy Bishop of Ozello; step-grandson, Evan Rosenthal; step-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Rosenthal; cousin, Nancy Ermatinger; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A memorial service was held March 21 at Strickland Funeral Home in Crystal River. Cremation followed.
