Loran White, 62, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007 at South Central Hospice of Indiana in Columbus.
Born Aug. 7, 1944 in Johnson County, he was the son of Bernard White and Catherine (Richardson) White and raised by Bernard and Anna White.
He was a retired carpenter and participated in the construction of the Hoosier Dome. He was an U.S. Army veteran and worshipped at the Horseman Camp Christian Outreach.
Survivors include: his wife, Lorraine "Lori" Taylor White; children, Terry Joe "T.J." White, Michelle Baker, Daniel Majors; siblings, Michael and his wife Ruth Ann White, Mary Ann Arthur, Brenda Lanfair, Debbie Cosand, John Brumett, Melinda "Wendy" Martin; 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-mother Anna.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday at Becks Grove Christian Church, 8009 Becks Grove Road, Freetown, with Pastor Dean Manuel officiating. A horse--drawn caisson will lead the procession to interment at Melot Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.
