Norman Aultman Sharum, 92, of Washington and formerly of Jasonville, passed away at 1 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 at Washington Nursing Center.
Born Oct. 5, 1914 in Montgomery, he was the son of J. Frank and Amelia Biddinger Sharum.
He was a farmer for 19 years and a piano technician.
He was a member of the Jasonville Woodworkers Club, Jasonville American Legion Post No. 172; Jasonville O.E.S.; past Master of the F & AM Lodge No. 29 of Lewis; 32nd degree Mason and Scottish Rite Division of Terre Haute.
He married Edna Lorena (Stafford) Sharum on Dec. 30, 1933 and she preceded him in death in 1973. He married Eloise (Brown) Sharum on Feb. 19, 1944 and she preceded him in death in 1998.
Survivors include: daughters and son-in-laws Norma Lou and Richard Miller of Fredricksburg, Va., Beverly Kay and John Lowman of San Juan, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law Samuel Lowell and Phyllis Sharum of Washington.
He was preceded in death by two wives, a son, Norman "Sonny" Sharum, Jr.; one stillborn son; one step-daughter, Janet Sanders; two sisters, Anna Hummerickhouse and Evelyn Hinkle.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at McClannahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with the Rev. Mark Messmer officiating. Burial will be in Peavey Cemetery in Howesville.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today and 1 p.m. until the hour of service Tuesday. A Masonic Lodge memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. tonight.
