Thelma Small, 88, of Tequesta, Fla., formerly of Sandborn, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at Hospice of the Treasure Coast.
She was born in Jasonville on Aug. 16, 1918, the daughter of Lester and Lula Belle (Warren) Rowe.
She had been a resident of Tequesta for 10 years, coming from SanJacinto, Calif. Prior to retirement, she was an executive secretary with the MacArthur Foundation.
Survivors include her husband, Sidney Richard Small of Tequesta, Fla.; a daughter Ronda Cooper and her husband, Meredith, of Jupiter, Fla.; a sister, Lillian McKee of Sandborn; a brother, Arthur Rowe of Illinois; three grandchildren, Kelly Crotty, Ashley Kirkgasser and Heather May; and three great-grandchildren, Patrick Crotty, Michaela May and Hanna May.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Holly Dell Ross; and her parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. CST on Tuesday at Sandborn United Methodist Church, the Rev. Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Sandborn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. CST on Monday at the church.
