Mildred "Millie" Ruth Hopkins, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away Jan. 4, 2007.
She was born Dec. 30, 1923 in Sullivan, to Herschel and Alta Clark Eaton.
She was a graduate of Indianapolis Howe High School and Ivy Tech. She worked as a certified nursing aid for one year at Canterbury Nursing Home and as a waitress at The Vault Restaurant for 10 years. She was a member of Highest Praise Christian Church, and a former member of Indianapolis Christian Fellowship.
Survivors include: her husband, David Hopkins; daughters, Connie Howe, Patti Goddard (Jeff), Rhonda Harper, Deena Newton (Jim); son, Bill Hopkins (Debbie); brother, John Eaton; sister, Delores Weaver; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ladonna Goldsberry.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington. St., Indianapolis.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Feed the Children.
