Ellen Harrison, 87, of Dugger, passed away at 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007 at Miller's Merry Manor in Sullivan.
She was born in Midland on Nov. 13, 1919 to Charles Bedwell and Clara Willis Bedwell.
She owned and operated the Harrison Flower Shop and Greenhouse in Dugger. After retirement Ellen and her late huband, Noel, maintained Harrison Crafts selling papier tole images. In later life, she made numerous quilts. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Dugger.
Survivors include three daughters: Janice Smith and her husband Rick, of Indianapolis, Phyllis Walters and her husband, Rick, of Dugger, and Nancee Jackson and her husband, Steven of Greenwood; seven grandchildren: Suzie Smith Gaither and husband Dan, Daniel Smith and his wife Carol, Vicki Jackson Mason and husband Rocky, Douglas Smith, Chasey Jackson Dick and husband Caleb, Eric Walters and wife, Julie, David Smith and wife Heather; nine great grandchildren: Sarah and Rachel Gaither, Jacob Smith, Adam and Abigail Dick, Brayden and Brea Walters, and Caleb and Rebecca Smith.
She married Noel Harrison July 1941. Noel preceded her in death March 1995. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Erin Walters, three brothers; Roy, Earl, and Robert Dale Bedwell, and one sister; Elizabeth Bedwell.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. Scott Chambers officiating. Burial will be in the Dugger Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
