Barbara J. Weddle, 75, of Linton, passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007 at Linton Health and Living Center.
Born Dec. 1, 1931, she was the daughter of Charles and Anna (Wilkie) Bechtel.
She worked in housekeeping at Shakamak State Park for 13 years before retiring in 1994. She was a member of the American Legion and VFW auxillary.
She married Elmer Weddle, who survives, on April 16, 1963.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Marsha J. (John) Martin of Dugger; a son, Donald R. (Gloria) Davenport of Winslow; stepchildren, Donna (Larry Betchel) of Odon and Bonnie (Leroy) Patterson of Carmi, Ill.; grandchildren, Travis (Jessie) Martin, Angel (Paul) Mikusac, Crystal Wadworth (friend Stephanie Menton); seven great-grandchildren; nieces, Sindy Ausman, Deb Fry, Charlene Mauery and Susie Douihitt; nephews: Onnie Fulk, Zachery Fulk, Charlie Kent and Tim Poynter; several great nieces and nephews; and sisters, Judy Thompson of Hymera and Donnetta Arthur of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a step-son, Elmer Weddle; a brother, Richard Bechtel; sister, Helen Fulk; and half-sister Doris Poynter.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with the Rev. John Booker officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Linton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday.
