History will come alive this weekend
The Buck Creek Muzzleloaders Club will host its eighth annual Linton Trade Fair on Saturday and Sunday in the Roy Clark Community Building, located in Humphreys Park.
Vendors will have booths featuring primitive clothing, muzzleloading supplies, guns, knives and other items from the 1750-1840 period. There will also be pottery, blacksmithing items, hocks, knives, books, tin ware, candles, candles lanterns and much more, according to Buck Creek Muzzleloaders President Dave O'Bryan.
"There's something for everyone really," O'Bryan said.
All vendors will be dressed in period correct, colonial style clothing, O'Bryan said.
"Dealers will be coming from Kentucky, Tennessee and all over Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Michigan."
O'Bryan encourages everyone to come out and see what the trade fair has to offer.
"It's a step back in history," he said. "You can see what our forefathers and the people who lived back 200 years ago (did)."
The trade fair will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $3 for adults. Children 12 and under are free with a paid adult. Concessions will also be available.
