Gladys Marie Cantrell, 86, of Bloomington, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born May 25, 1920 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Thomas B. and Lillie B. (Collier) Wampler.
She was a homemaker and worked at Indiana University.
She attended 11th Street Pentecostal Church and Grace Fellowship Church.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, L. Russel and Barbara Cantrell of Bloomfield and Roger and Cynthia Cantrell of Pasadena, Texas; three daughters and their husbands, Dorothy and James Hamm and Nancy and James Saylor, all of Bloomington, and Mary Uland and Steven Smith of Solsberry; one sister, Dorothy Conder of Ellettsville; 16 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Barbara Pratt; one granddaughter, Kathy Jo Johnson; four brothers, Raymond Wampler, Robert Wampler, Lester Wampler and James Wampler; one sister, Mary Polly; and one son-in-law, William "Bert" Daniel.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville, with Brother Bob Clendening officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery.
