Tom Dillon, 58, of Loogootee, passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007 at his residence after a long illness.
Born March 4, 1948, in Martin County, he was the son of Carl Dillon and Bertha Fields Dillon.
He attended Loogootee schools and was a member of the Methodist Church. He worked at Loogootee Textile and then Loogootee and Washington Jay C Food Stores, from which he retired after 34 years of service.
He married Diane Allison on July 1, 1989, and she survives.
Survivors also include his daughter, Tammy Workman of Solsberry; two sisters, Mary Johnson and Terri Williams both of Loogootee; one brother, Wayne Dillon of Loogootee; two grandchildren, Michael Russell and Brittany Russell; and two step-grandchildren, Dustin Workman and Derek Workman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shirley Dillon.
Service will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Brocksmith Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Loogootee.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
