Eleanor Joy "Toni" Lowe, 84, of Jackson, Miss., and formerly of Detroit, Mich., and Linton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007 at Eaton Community Hospice.
Born in Raglesville on Sept. 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late H. Thad and Iva E. (Chestnut) McHolland.
She enjoyed playing bingo, crosswords, coin collecting and was a member of the VFW, Legion and the Moose in Linton.
On March 7, 1953 she married Roy E. Lowe, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1983.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Joseph) Acquaviva of Jackson and a daughter-in-law, Jane Hazelton of Detroit; three grandchildren, one brother, Donald Phillips, a sister, Hazel Stewart of Linton, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a son, William R. Lowe; and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral service was Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007 at Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home in Chelsea with the Rev. Carol A. Spangenberg officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice or to the family for a headstone.
