Lesa A. Sparks, 52, of Jasonville, passed away 1:55 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 2, 2006 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
Born June 27, 1954 in Evansville, she was the daughter of Fred and Rosalee (Hayden) Gouckenour.
She was an EKG technician and activities director for Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She attended the First Baptist Church in Linton and was a member of the Lyons American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary in Worthington. She was also in Jobs Daughters in Worthington.
Surviving relatives include: her husband David D. Sparks of Jasonville; two sons, David D. Sparks Jr. of Jasonville and Ronald M. Sparks II of Lyons; one daughter, Season D. Weddle of Lyons; one brother, Tony Gouckenour and his wife Marilyn of Worthington; nine grandchildren, Megan, Keisha, Trey, Jayden, Nayson, Melvin Lane, and Trevor Sparks, and Taylor and Elesabeth Weddle; her father, Fred and his wife Mary Lou Gouckenour of Linton; her mother, Rosalee (Hayden) Ray of Worthington; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Lyons. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and one hour prior to service Tuesday at the funeral home.
