Mildred B. "Mid" Howard, 87, of Worthington and formerly of Jasonville, passed away at 4:20 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006 at Linton Nursing and Rehab.
Born July 19, 1919, she was the daughter of Walter and Sarah (Griffith) Croft.
A life-long resident of Jasonville, she was the wife of former postmaster and mayor Lawrence E. Howard, who died Feb. 6, 1991. She formerly worked at Formfit, Shakamak Variety, Shakamak IGA and Causal Aire and was a member of the Lawton Street Christian Church.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Debroah and John Rowe of Worthington; daughter-in-law Carol Tuttle of Jasonville; grandchildren, Denise Collins, Kenneth Tuttle, Cara Bell, Tara Tuttle, Marcus Tuttle, Courtney Givens, Lucas Rowe and Jess Rowe; six great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Kenneth "Butch" Tuttle; and brother, Louis "Bud" Croft.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at McClannahan-Lee Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Simon officiating. Burial will be in K of P Cemetery in Hymera.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Monday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Activity Department at Linton Nursing & Rehab Center.
