Georgia J. Bowersock, 59 of Worthington, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Born in Linton on Oct. 5, 1947, she was the daughter of Clay F. and Emma V. (Criss) Denny.
She was formerly employed as a CNA and QMA at the Lyons Nursing Home, and as a CNA at the Glenburn Home. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxilary & VFW Ladies Auxilary, both of Worthington, and the Linton Ladies Moose Lodge.
Survivors include: three sons, Bobby Don Bowersock of Sandborn, Dustin W. (Sara) Bowersock of Linton and Mark V. Bowersock of Worthington; two daughters, Charlotte (Bowersock) Robinson of Bloomfield and Shaunda (Bowersock) Grounds of Linton; three sisters, Harriet (Bill) Durbin of Palastine, Ill., Emma Mae (Larry) Meek of Elnora and Clayetta Heacox of Linton; two brothers, Jim (Melinda) Denny of Lyons and John F. (Patricia) Denny of Newberry; 11 grandchildren, Ryan, Devon, Justin, Carlee, Shayla, Trent, Braxton, Joshie, Levi, Quinton and Isaac; and one great-grandchild, Derick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Bowersock in 1972, a stillborn son, Tye Alan, and two sisters, Katie L. and Alice Marie Denny.
Funeral services will be held at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 1 p.m. on Saturday with Brother Tommy Shields officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made toward the final expenses through the funeral home.
